Aquaman 2 The lost Kingdom

Aquaman the lost kingdom hit theaters today. And I know what you’re saying. Why are we even seeing this movie? It’s a waste of time because DC is getting rebooted. Yes, this is Jason manias last adventure as Aquaman but it is the bookend to the sniderverse DC films. So is it worth seeing? In my opinion yes it is.

Since the first film Aquaman has joined forces with other hero’s and saved the world but what has happened in Atlantis and in our hero’s life. And what ever happened to Black manta? We find all that out in this film.

This films main premise is Black mantas revenge. In his quest to get even with Aquaman for killing his father Manta runs across the black Triton from the lost city while searching for Atlantean technology.
Meanwhile Aquaman has started a family. He has a son now and is the full time king of Atlantis.

Along with the triton manta found he also has come across Atlantean technology that requires a certain fuel. manta starts to burn the the full to destroy the planet and is being taken over by the original owner of the black tritanwhich also gives him incredible strength.

Aquaman needs to find black manta and stop him before he destroys the world but in order to find him he needs to free his brother who is imprisoned for his crimes in the first movie.

The film has lots of action and uses Jason Mona’s strong personality traits really well in this film. He is fun and energetic and his character has real purpose in the film. The film is really a fun world wide action adventure that is funny and exciting. The movie never takes it self to serious.

Black manta is an awesome villain. He has real purpose and should be mad as hell at Aquaman. He carried all the serious tones in this film.

At the end of the day the film is fun. But don’t expect it to carry much weight in the DC universe. Look at is a non voyage to Jason mamoa’s aquaman.
