NBA ALL Star Weekend Wrap up

All star weekend came in with a lot of high energy and expectations. Dame wanted to go back to back in the 3 point contest and he would do just that but Trae young, Karl Anthony Towns had ideas of their own. 26 was the magic number of the night as all the shooters would get this number to get to the finals. But in the finals Dame time was in full effect and he topped the others in pure Dame fashion.

The next shooters up were Steph vs Sabrina. Again the magic number was 26 and Sabrina set the tone early with great shooting but the greatest shooter in the world stepped up to the challenge and showed why he is who he is. Winning the title for this first event of this kind.

The Dunk contest was next and everyone was hoping for a spectacular show. The field was made up of largely unknowns. Jaylen Brown and Mac Clung were the favorites. Mcclung now playing for the Gleage wanted to defend his title. And defend it he did. There was never really any doubt about who would win. I believe the biggest threat in the contest was the judges inconsistency. But Mac clung won with a dunk where he jumped over shaq. Securing his place in slam dunk history.

Dame dolla and Indianas own Tyrese Halliburton combines for 71 points to power the east to victory over the west in Sundays all star game. Lebrun was expected to play limited minutes so this opened the field to anybody getting the MVP award. And Dame showed it was Dame time from the very start.
